What are you going to do?

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the complete financial administration, payroll, month-end closing, and annual accounts. You will elevate our financial department and ensure that our ambitions are financially transparent. You will also lead the implementation and integration of systems, conduct analyses, and optimize processes when you see possibilities for improvement. In this role, you will work closely with the CFO.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project invoicing
  • Process company expense invoices and employee expense declarations
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable
  • Process payments
  • Handle and review VAT returns
  • Communicating and checking salary changes to the payroll administrator
  • Manage various financial systems (ExactOnline, Declaree, Travelperk, Trifact, etc.).
  • Supervise cash flow, financial reporting, revenue, and expense-related projects.
  • Oversee subsidiaries and consolidate financial data for three entities.
  • Develop and manage the planning and control cycle (including cash flow), management reports, budgeting, and financial performance.
  • Prepare cost reports and ensure cost accountability.
  • Ensure accurate month-end closings, audits, and prepares the annual accounts files for the auditor.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance related tasks

Requirements

    • A completed HBO degree in Finance and Control or a comparable study.
    • Extensive experience (at least 3 years) in a similar financial role, preferably within a project-based organization.
    • Experience with financial systems and software (experience in ExactOnline and Qlik being a plus)
    • Strong understanding of accounting rules and a commitment to keeping this knowledge up to date.
    • Enjoys preparing and analyzing financial reports with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal project owners.
    • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
