Marketing Intern

What awaits you as a Marketing Intern at SparkOptimus? 

As our Marketing Intern, you will get the chance to support the Marketing Team with their day-to-day operations and get hands-on experience in all fields of Marketing such as Social Media, Online and Offline Marketing, Technical Marketing and Analytics and Events. You’ll be joining a team of 3, each with their own specialization that’s here to support you in your growth. Due to us being a small team you will be able to execute from your first day as well as work on your own project(s) next to supporting the team, that way gaining valuable work experience. This will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our marketing processes and allow you to get the most out of your internship.

Your day-to-day life in the office 

• Assist in day-to-day tasks within the Marketing Department like online campaigns, Marketing automation, CRM, website updates, PR activities & event support. 

• Participate in the creation of marketing materials for different channels: Paid, Organic Social, PR, Email and Web 

• Help to plan and organize virtual and on-location events in Amsterdam 

• Manage smaller projects independently and collaborate with the team on bigger projects 

• Work with tools for design, content management, email marketing and social media 

• Be responsible for the monthly tracking of competition activities online & offline 

• Maintain the marketing library by checking and replenishing the inventory 

Our dream candidate 

• You are willing and curious to learn, have a hands-on attitude, are a team player and have excellent communication skills 

• You are an EU citizen or have a valid Dutch student visa and are enrolled as a 3rd/4th year Bachelor student at a Dutch university, studying Marketing, Communication, Event Management, Hospitality or Business-related studies during the entire internship period - or have already finished a relevant study 

• You are full-time available for 5-6 months starting from August or September 

• You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. If you also speak Dutch, you’d be our star! 

• You are based in Amsterdam or willing to commute
